G-Star UK (it's a clothing line for men) may have started out in the UK but they are now getting ready to launch a worldwide campaign. Announced just this month, G-Star is expanding its clothing line to franchise stores in China, the United States, Australia and Japan. With this move they hope to double their sales/profits. This denim business that was originally Dutch currently has their designer wear in 301 stores. This global expansion plans to supply them with another 450 stores. Hong Kong currently houses their biggest store. Sydney, Los Angeles and Tokyo all are home to their flagship stores which are only ½ the size of the store in Hong Kong.

G-Star Hits Hollywood

Movie star sensation Clemence Posey, who has appeared in movies with big stars such as Michael Caine, is appearing in the women’s line of G-Star clothing. A miniseries on the BBC channel has captivated audiences thanks to this female film sensation and a little help from her designer label clothing. In fact her favorite piece of the latest wardrobe she’s pushing for G-Star is a denim jacket. (Raw denim is what G-Star is all about). But be careful what you buy however because cheap knockoffs are being made for almost all designer lines; even knockoffs of fashion wear by G-Star has now joined the ranks of counterfeit clothing along with Calvin Klein, All Saints and Lyle and Scott.
