For you to become a model you need more than just a pretty face. It requires discipline and talent on top of a body that is perfect to become an extremely successful mode.

It is very difficult for an agency to find someone with model potential. If you think you are model material, the first thing you are going to need is a portfolio, that will take the agency's breath away.

A diary of past work is a good way to show a company that you are model material, and are not wasting their time. Knowing what to put into your portfolio is not easy and takes nearly as much effort as actually modeling. Perfection is what you need to work towards. The way you pose, lighting, the message your body sends,and the emotions that you create are all part of what you need to master to be a model and your portfolio must display that you have potential in each of these areas. Modeling is more than just being attractive, but becoming a representation of the product you are modeling for.

You want to give them something to come back for. If practice is what it takes, then that is exactly what you have to do. In an industry full of pretty faces, you are competing against bodies that are perfect. You have to prove your better, above all. Know how to market your body and target the market that works for you. Targeting the wrong market can be an embarrassing blunder for you. The skill of the photographer is essential. Remember that companies want to make sure that their models are worth the investment.

You need to prove that you are committed. This means do not pick any old camera off the shelf, with your mom taking the pictures. Invest in a professional photographer and preferably one that specializes in modeling photography. You want a photographer that has the ability to portray your ideal. There is always room to improve but, being second best is not an option.
